velvet nights ft. mr button
Read Jatin's take on The Nocturnal!
It sometimes takes a lot of effort and time to keep blogging and keep putting up the stuff you do in your daily life, even if it’s just a trip to zoo 😀 Just kidding. Since I got back to my work schedule (yes Blogging is not my main profession), it has been really tough to keep up with the regular blogs. Even though I have been shooting and posting my collaborations on my Instagram channel, my blog was not getting the attention it needs from me. So here I am, writing about a look I shot sometime back for one of my favourite brands and the brand which I can rely on for any look I am looking for. Yes, now you know Mr Button is surely one of those brands I can totally trust for any occasion.
So some time back Mr Button launched their night life inspired collection called “The Nocturnal”. The pieces as usual are great and as the collection says it’s inspired by the nights, it is a perfect mix of the right party casuals and some semi formals. I picked what I love the most from the brand, a perfect causal shirt, a velvet party blazer and a slim fit polka dot trousers.
With weekends being “the thing” these days and everyone waits for it from Monday itself and starts planning what to do on Friday night, from fancy parties to club hopping, you know which one you want to attend and what you will be wearing. This combo is something which can be as formal as it is for a themed party and if you take off the blazer it’s a perfect one for the brewery you wanted to explore for so long. So whatever the place you want to be at, at the end we all look for a diner to eat after the multiple shots we have taken, hunger strikes obviously. This photo story takes you through the after party scenes to a diner while enjoying the silence after the mind numbing music at the club.
The velvet and satin definitely gives more royal feel to whatever you pair it with. The choice of a floral shirt in black and white tones down the look and adds the casual factor to it. I always go for slim fit options which fits to measure. I suggest all men should do the same, even if you are not muscled up or a fitness freak, still try to opt for the fit which is not loose and is cut close to body.
I love to play around with the accessories and in this case I kept the focus more on the lapel pin. The gold lapel pin in a leaf motif adds the extra oomph factor to the whole outfit. I didn’t want to add any other colour so I kept the pocket square on the similar tones as the blazer. The footwear is just perfect fashion accessory and more you play with it, the more you show that you are confident in yourself. This patent black leather shoe by Enzo Cardini is just a perfect example.
The bold big prints are always in trend especially when it comes to floral. We have seen all kinds of floral from colourful to multi coloured. This approach of black and white neutral bold floral shirt is different from the rest and can be paired from semi formals to casuals.
So here it is, my after party diner story. Well we all want to live in that world where we are dressed perfect and be at the right place. But what’s the fun in keeping it usual. To be dressed up and ending in a basic diner which serves the best food definitely gets the memory of the SATC episode where the Russian and Carrie are in Mcdonalds while he is in his Tom Ford and she wears Oscar de la Renta. Such is life, or we all wants it to be. Well on that fashionable note, enjoy the week while I get back to work and shall be back with more stories. Till then, stay stylish!
