Summer is not just the season to hit the pools and beaches or take a break away from school and work, but also an excuse to catch some awesome movies. And already the list of this year’s summer blockbuster movies is quite impressive. We’re talking about hits like Wonder Woman, Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man tells No tales, amongst a few misses like Baywatch, Alien: Convent etc.

So, we At Mr Button present to you a list of movies that can’t be missed!


Transformers: The Last Knight

This is the fifth installment of the live-action Transformers film series and a direct sequel to 2014’s Transformers: Age of Extinction. Directed by Michael bay, the iconic Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci  can be seen reprising their roles from Age of Extinction alongside Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and John Turturro from the first three movies.

In the absence of Optimus Prime, a war has commenced between humans and the Transformers. The key to saving the future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Cade Yeager, an astronomer and an Oxford University professor, forms an alliance with Bumblebee to learn the secrets of why the Transformers keep coming back to Earth.

Baby Driver

The story revolves around a talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort), who relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the real music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.

Director: Edgar Wright.

Despicable Me 3

Just when we thought the Minion craze was fading away, the third installment in the Despicable Me film series got announced! It’s all set to be released this month.

Gru faces off against Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who has grown up to become obsessed with the character that he played in the ’80s. There’s also some sibling rivalry involved, when Gru meets his long-lost charming, cheerful, and more successful twin brother Dru who wants to team up with him for one last criminal heist to steal the diamond that Bratt has stolen.

Director: Kyle Balda, Pierrce Coffin and Eric Guillon.

Cast: Steve Carell, Russell Brand, Trey Parker, Kristen Wiig.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

It seems like every 3 or 4 years a remake or reboot of the iconic, friendly neighbourhood Superhero Spider Man is released. The 90’s kids have Tobey Maguire; the Generation Z have Andrew Garfield and now we have Tom Holland playing the new Spider Man. One for every generation out there!

But what sets this movie apart is the iconic Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, and that’s enough reason to check this one out.

War for the Planet of the Apes

In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. The Emoji Movie


This movie can be best described as the perfect concoction of the Lego Movies, mixed with the Secret Life of Pets.

This animated comedy takes place in Textopolis, a world inside a smartphone that’s inhabited by various emojis. There, an emoji named Gene is ashamed that he has multiple facial expressions while his colleagues only have one each, and he embarks on a quest to be like everyone else. Gene enlists the help of his best friend Hi-5 and a notorious code breaker called Jailbreak. During their travels through the other apps, the three Emojis discover a great danger that could threaten their phone’s very existence.
